GRANATA MD, JOSEPH J.

Joseph J. Granata MD was a longtime resident of New Rochelle. On March 4, 2010 at the age of 55 he unexpectedly passed away. He was born in the Bronx on May 1st, 1954 to Teresa and the late Anthony J. Granata MD. He was a physician for many years in private practice and an attending physician at The Mt. Vernon Hospital. He was an avid drummer who volunteered his time to The Westchester Brassmen, NYU and the choir at Holy Name Church. He loved his family very much and was respected and admired by his friends and colleagues. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of twenty five years, Barbara; his daughter Jennifer Granata and his son Joseph Granata; his siblings Anthony Granata, Andrea Granata, Teresa Merlucci, John Granata and Frances Suozzo; and six nieces and nephews.
