Dr. Joseph “Doc” Granata
Dr. Joseph J. Granata was a bass drummer with the Westchester Brassmen Drum and Bugle Corps. His dedication to the corps and promoting excellence was a part of his everyday routine. “Doc”, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, NY unexpectedly passed away on March 4, 2010 at the age of 55. Originally from the Bronx, he was born on May 1st, 1954. He was a physician for many years in private practice and an attending physician at The Mt. Vernon Hospital. He loved his family very much and was respected and admired by his friends and colleagues. It is because of Dr. Granata and his dedication to the corps that the Westchester Brassmen Scholarship Fund was created in his name.
